Week 2 New Websites and Work To Do

This week we're going to learn about computers - names of hardware, software, how they work, etc. 

When you have finished studying about computers, take this quiz:
COMPUTER BASICS QUIZ  Click on EXTRAS and go to bottom of page. Now click on "Take This Quiz". There are 15 questions.


1.  Learn vocabulary about the computer at this website
     We'll practice this in class.

• Here's a website with pictures that gives us a lot of computer parts and their names . 
• We will learn about the first picture only.
  

2.  Grammar and Vocabulary using 'drag and drop' skills with the mouse. Choose 9. 'animal sounds' - learn what animals say in English. Use CHROME web browser for sound.

3.  Learn Internet Safety Techniques - complete information about
     Internet Safety and what you can do.

4.  Practice typing, or keyboarding, here.

5.  Another keyboarding practice site

6. We'll look at "a Maths Dictionary For Kids" online. You can
     learn a lot of new vocabulary at this website.

7. Finally, let's look at VOA Learning English:
   Old Proverbs Still Speak the Truth  and
   Proverbs Tell How To Succeed in Life
